Rachel | Indianapolis Maternity Photographer

I apologize in advance for the extremely old photos. Yes.... some are tragically embarrassing! It has been really hard to sit on this blog post for so long.  I've been itching to get to it, and finally can!   This beautiful momma is Rachel.  My best friend since 2 year old pre-school.  Not many people can look back on their friendships and see a friend who was consistently there for as of now 24+ years.  We took ballet together, got into trouble together, vacationed together, … [Read more...]

the “C” word & Images for a Cure.

"hate" is such a strong word.   ....... but .........   I do hate one thing more than anything in this world..  That thing is Cancer.     "2.38% of women born today will be diagnosed with cancer of the breast at some time during their lifetime. This number can also be expressed as 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with cancer of the breast during their lifetime." These are the kind of statistics you read in healthcare.    The statistics you … [Read more...]

It's the Fall.... You know what that means.  Time to dust off your season cookbooks/crockpots and get to cooking. I get asked a lot to share my recipes from friends and family, so this seems like a good avenue to do so.  Please keep in mind most of my recipes are either eyeballed or prepared to taste.  I'll include all ingredients I use and some photos to accompany the ingredients!!! Bon Appétit!   First up a good soup for this Fall and Winter.  I'm a soup junkie, and this is my … [Read more...]

friday shenanigans

It's Friday!!! That means it's time for some Shenanigans. Enjoy guys!                                       These were especially witty to me for some reason.  The doggy door I can't exactly explain other than the fact it was pretty comical. I hope all of you enjoy your weekend.  I'm going to try to do one more session's blog … [Read more...]

Ellen | Indianapolis Newborn Photographer

A few months ago I got to meet little Miss Ellen.  She was an absolute dream to photograph & pose. I've known mom and dad for a few years and were so happy they reached out to me while expecting.  She was such a gorgeous little girl - I can't wait to see her again for her 6 month session in the not so distant future. I look forward to seeing all of my Grow With Me babies again in their first year. Congratulations you two, I wish you all the best! … [Read more...]

Shelf Love | Finding New Perspective

The only thing I do more of than taking photographs is reading.  Literally... I read three books last week alone.  I oftentimes get asked what I'm reading and what I thought about it.  I thought posting my reviews here once finishing a handful might be the best way to keep track of them.  If you are curious as to what else I've read in the past and how I felt about it you can check out my Goodreads.   Sarah's Key  :  Tatiana de Rosnay   This book was amazing.  It takes place in early … [Read more...]

Murray Wedding | May 5, 2012

I had the absolute pleasure to photograph Katie & Tyler's special day this past May.  Regretfully, I have been having to sit on these images for MONTHS waiting for this blog to be done to share the whole story with everyone.  Truth be told - I know it will have been worth the wait.   I've known the bride, Katie since I was in high school back in Georgia.  I always thought she was a really sweet, and quiet beauty.  Anytime I'd see her in the hallways she would always have the … [Read more...]

First Installment | Friday Shenanigans

I think it is pretty safe to say that Friday is just about anyone's favorite day of the work week.  While brainstorming just what all I wanted this blog to offer - I knew I wanted some of it's aspects to just be fun and filled with nonsense.  So, each Friday I decided to do a feature called Friday Shenanigans.  You should anticipate it to be just that - nonsense. I'll post little things I find online that either make me laugh or peak my interest.  Enjoy       I knew … [Read more...]

where to start.

Alright... So, this has been my brain child for quite some time.. Some of you may have come here, because I used to have a personal blog once I moved to Indiana two years ago.  It was used primarily to document my transition period into a totally new climate (among other things).  Sadly, that site is non-operational now.  I'll be using this blog for my business, with a bit of travel, personal stories, and some fun thrown in.  I'm onto something new every single day and I'm certain this blog … [Read more...]
